Where to park your motorcycle in Paris ?

In the street

42 000 spaces are currently reserved for two-wheelers in Paris and it is recommended to park there. Parking is charged from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm (excluding Sundays and holidays).

On the sidewalk ?

Parking on the sidewalk is a very bad idea. Annoying for pedestrians but also for people with reduced mobility or strollers, it is of course forbidden by the highway code and punished by a fine. You run the risk of finding your vehicle at the pound... Also be careful not to park on a crosswalk, a bicycle path, a bus lane or a delivery zone.

On car places

Yes ! You can park in the 135,000 car spaces in the capital by paying for your parking on parking meters or mobile applications. However, be careful not to disturb motorists who are often very unhappy to see a motorcycle taking their place.

In the Car Parks 

Car Parks offer many advantages. It is a good way to protect your two wheeler vehicle from bad weather and damages. At Saemes, the motorcycle zones are video-monitored. You can park there for a few hours or take out monthly, quarterly or annual subscriptions. The subscription price is very attractive as it is offered at 35% of the price of the car subscription. The Saemes Méditerranée Gare de Lyon car park, under the Gare de Lyon station (Paris 12e), with its 370 spaces reserved for motorcycles, is the largest motorcycle park in Paris. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it has a specific entrance for motorcycles leading to a dedicated area equipped with parking spaces with hoops, a non-slip surface, and reinforced lighting and video monitoring. More than 12,000 motorcyclists park there every year! The Madeleine-Tronchet parking lot (Paris 8e) offers also 190 spaces.

A small but very appreciable plus, free helmet lockers allow you to leave your helmet safely for the duration of your parking in the Louvre Pyramides (1st), Bac Montalembert (Paris 7th), Bergson St Augustin (Paris 8th), Haussmann Berri (Paris 8th), Madeleine-Tronchet (Paris 8th), Méditerranée Gare de Lyon (12th) car parks.
