The Louvre Pyramides car park (Paris 1st) is currently undergoing renovation. Like many other Saemes car parks, it will be given an artistic touch to decorate level -1 and help customers find their way around. Design of this original decoration has been entrusted to first-year students of Ecole Bleue.
For design school students, designing the decoration for a car park is a great opportunity to work on a real-life project in an unusual location. That's why the students of Ecole Bleue have been quick to rise to the challenge set by Saemes.
Working in pairs, they must present a project with a strong visual impact that takes into account the constraints posed by limited perspective, low lighting, passing customers and vehicle circulation. They have carte blanche for the theme, artistic direction and graphic style.
Students have been working on their proposals since January and the jury will choose three finalists on 15 March 2019 with the winning project being announced on 29 March 2019.
The decoration will be put in place in June 2019. The winning team's design will be on display until 31 August 2025.
