Because our future depends on those who work for us day after day, Saemes is especially committed to maintaining a rigorous recruitment and training policy.
Saemes brings young people onto its teams through professional training contracts and apprenticeships.
Saemes’ training budget, which is four times larger than the legal requirement, shows just how important the company considers its employees’ skills development. Some 70% of our employees undertake a training programme each year.
With a view to furthering its employees’ career development Saemes also encourages qualification initiatives (accreditation of acquired skills, professional qualification certificates for operations employees, skills assessments) and internal mobility.
Since the French law of 5 March 2014 relating to training reform (Article L. 6315-1 of the French labour code) came into effect, a professional assessment interview is held every two years with all employees. This offers employees a chance to share their career goals and see how they fit with the company’s skills needs.
Health at work: a top priority
The professional risk prevention initiative called REFLEXES, launched in 2011, is a way to further health and safety at work. Emergency drills are regularly carried out to prepare operations teams for possible risks (e.g., fire, oil leaks).
