Located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the Quai Branly Museum is dedicated to the arts and civilizations of Africa, Asia, Oceania and non-Western Americas. A project led by Jacques Chirac, it was launched on June 20, 2006. The permanent collections include the former ethnology collections of the Musée de l'Homme; approximately 3,500 objects - out of a collection which includes 300,000 - are exhibited there and are regularly renewed. The museum also has a dozen temporary exhibitions per year.
